Selector Infected Wixoss

This is not your typical card game anime. Oh no, how wrong was I when I picked up this anime. Think of Magic the Gathering that had sex with Puella Magi Madoka Magica and had a love child. Selector Infected WIXOSS is what the end result be between the two. However, there is more story than card game gameplay which actually is enjoyable. The entire cast are all female with a few side male characters. I have binged watching this 12 episode season, yes I said season, and I am currently on the move to the second season. Ground base of the show is WIXOSS (its pronounced as WHY-CROSS, don’t ask why Japan is just that cool I guess) is the worlds “main enterainment” that is geared more towards the female audience. Mainly played by females, there are a few females that are chosen by LRIG (pronounced as LUU-RIG, again thank you Japan for the engrish) to become as Selector and do battle with other Selectors. Behind all the battling with other Selectors, a Selector can have one wish to be granted when certain conditions are met. However, there is a down side to the Selector battles. Should a Selector lose 3 Selector battles, they lose the right of being a Selector and their wish is reversed i.e. if you wish for fame you fall into poverty, you want...

Resident Evil: Final Chapter

Resident Evil: Final Chapter was a pretty good movie to end the movie series on. The first few minutes of the movie however would have caused someone with a weak heart a heart attack. I do not know if it was intended to be loud or the movie theater I went to left it at a ear destroying volume, but it did made me want to wear ear muffs. Back to the movie, for the shear amount of time Alice had to get the mission done and where she had to travel made it so she had no sleep whatsoever and did not ran into zombies or blocked off pathways to make it back to Racoon City. There were a good chunk of action sequences, choreography, and we get more background on why the T-Virus was made for (in movie not the game). We also gained background on the Red Queen herself and as to why she was created. The returning character we get is Claire Redfield from he previous movie but we got no return of Leon Kennedy or Ada Wong. The movie ends with a breath of relief that the world will revive back but will take time as there are still mutated creatures and zombies existing  in other places of the world. Over all, I thought the movie was pretty good. There are some plot holes...

New Shadow Paladins for Cardfight Vanguard

It has been over 2 weeks since the newest set of Cardfight! Vanguard with all new support for Shadow Paladins. The Shadow Paladins have a keyword for their clan called Ritual. Depending on how many Grade 1 units you have in your drop zone allows you to perform the unit’s skill. With the Shadow Paladins new support as well as their new trial deck, the clan has a new play style. The booster support makes the Ritual deck play more aggressive while being able to tank. Though like most Shadow Paladin players, there will be an abundance of people scrapping for cards. Al in all, the new Shadow Paladins have a free stride mechanic and can maintain hand advantage as well as field presence. The deck is relatively easy to play and good for all beginners. More on other clans next time....

California Cardfight! Vanguard World Championship 2016

This previous weekend, I have went to L.A. in Pamona to play the world championship for Cardfight! Vanguard. Although I did not make it as far as I wanted to, but I did had fun going over there and play against various people. As what people in California were worried about the meta being Gear Chronicle, the clan was not as dominating as only 2 made it to top 8 in one block. Its a relief to say that California is one of the few places to not have a clan mostly dominated by Gear Chronicle. My friends John and Jonathan got farther than I did, only to lose out in round 6. At worlds, I played Shadow Paladins with the build being Witches. The Witch build allows me to change any of my opponents Rear-Guards into zeros from either the Drop Zone or the Deck. I wanted to have fun this world tournament and not be super competitive. My first round was fun as I played against another Shadow Paladin but was the “Diablo” build. I did not win to only losing out to a Double Critical check. My last round did not go too well. I lost in 6 turns and did not really get to play much. The round only lasted a minute and me and my opponent were waiting for the slip of paper to...
